Also known as rake trim or gable trim is a finishing piece of metal flashing used along the edges of a metal roof line where the edge of the metal roof panel meets the end wall panels. This type of flashing also protects the edges of the gable roof edge of the decking and fascia board from water damage by having this protective flashing installed to finish the rake or gable end out.
